How / why does word do this ....
Hi,
I have to edit a page in word that someone made a long time ago ....... I'm no expert but for some "magical" reason I can't add a character to end of a line, i can add a few "ssss" for example on line one but then it - it just craps out and goes down "magically" by itself and you keep going on the next line ....... it drives me potty !!!! What's in the formatting that makes it do that !?!?! I try to use the SHOW/HIDE (Cntl + * ) thing and nothings there to screw it up. Here's the doc and line one that has: Fire Ext Safe Work with the "sssss" in it is my example. |

This is because from the first line of text onwards you have several Right Indents set about halfway across the page and towards the end of the page they are almost near the left border (where a row contains only one or two words).

The indents are shown on the ruler.

This is paragraph formatting, best managed by use of styles. It can be changed for selected text in the Ruler, as well.
