Having a display issue on one machine (Win11 with Office 365). Set the display as Print Layout (standard view) and files pulled up look like only slightly messed up for first page but but virtually nothing beyond that point but if you look at the print preview, they look right (see file attached). Other machines open and see the file correctly but not this one. It sees the attached PDF (screen Grab).


No one here has a clue but I thought I would see if anyone in this forum would. Machine was working just fine with Word last week.

That machine is displaying the file showing field codes rather than field results.

Go to File > Options > Advanced > Show document content
Turn OFF the checkmark on Set the Show field codes instead of their values

While you are there, also set the Field shading to "Always" so you can spot the fields more easily in your document.

Any idea how that could have gotten checked that way since I did not know it even existed?

There is a keyboard shortcut: Alt+F9. It toggles the setting.
(On some computers Fn+Alt+F9)
