God, I'm annoyed by it all again. Office 2021 ProPlus installed. Created a bibliography according to IEEE 2006. Added two sources.

My problem is: "wordwrap" of the [1] and [2] indexes.... why? Can't Office automatically adjust the table so that there is no wrapping of the indexes?

I can, of course, adjust it at the top using the sliders, but as soon as I click on "Update Fields", everything is back to the way it was. Oh my. Maybe I should have stuck with Office 2016 after all.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Office is freshly installed. Since just under a week. Today I wanted to try out a few things, since I have to write a paper soon, and ran into this problem....

Change the style so it is left aligned.

The content there is set to be fully justified with no hyphenation. Then your content on the second line has no spaces which means there is no 'word' which can fit on the first line so the whole URL needs to move onto the second line.

Left-alignment didn't help.

The issue automatically corrects itself when I add line breaks within the longer URLs, but as soon as I click on "update fields", it reverts back to the initial problem.

This thread is hard to follow now you've deleted the content of some of the posts.

Have you tried a tab followed by a soft return in front of the URL?

You can lock fields so they don't refresh when you 'update fields'. That may help you control the look you wanted.
