auto-format items pasted into document
hi folks,
for a research project, I'm doing a lot of cutting from various web pages and pasting into a document. the formatting gets to be quite a mess. i know how to reformat the material once it is in the doc, and also how to "paste" special, but is there a way to set up constraints so that material I paste is auto formated right then and there? this would save a ton of time. I also don't want to "clear" all formatting, I'd rather just make its size and font uniform, but I don't want to lose italics and bold...this causes problems with titles of books and journals... |

Word copying and pasting picks up styles formatting from the html documents. Since it would be counterproductive to determine how many styles are on each webpage and what they are named, I think it will be difficult to tell Word what to do with each of those differently named styles. I think the short answer to your question is that you already know the most efficient way to manage that project.
