auto-format items pasted into document

hi folks,


for a research project, I'm doing a lot of cutting from various web pages and pasting into a document. the formatting gets to be quite a mess. i know how to reformat the material once it is in the doc, and also how to "paste" special, but is there a way to set up constraints so that material I paste is auto formated right then and there? this would save a ton of time.

I also don't want to "clear" all formatting, I'd rather just make its size and font uniform, but I don't want to lose italics and bold...this causes problems with titles of books and journals...
