Default I want to put my label address in the centre using the step by step wizard

Getting an early start on greetings cards, I am using the mailings tab in Word and using the step by step mailmerge wizard.

All has gone well so far! Previously, I have created an Access data base for all my names and addresses.

The wizard has allowed me to create a page with all my data on it, layed out to use with Avery labels.

However, what I would like to do is centralise the name and address lines on the label so that I get equal space to the left and right and above and below them.

Is this possible without editing each individual name/address on the list?

I have Office 2010. Word version 14.0.7268.5000 32bit.

Are you doing an Access-to-Word mail merge? Or are you doing the layout entirely in an Access Report template?

Labels in MS Word are essentially a table fit to line up with your labels. Like any table, you should be able to use the Layout tab on the Ribbon and find the alignment matrix, using the center-vertically-and-horizontally one on the cells.

Hi there and thanks for your post. I'm doing an Access-to-Word merge.

I used the Layout tab as you suggested and it worked well. I've printed my labels so thanks again.

Nice! I noodle around in Access, but not as much as I used to, and I'm afraid I'll lose what competence I have.
