Default Is there a function on MS Word showing the lastest changes made on a word file?

Let me clarify:
I had 2 word copies about a study. Later on I did some changes on both files by mistakes through 3 years. Now, I want to see what is added to each file to combine them into a single word file. Does MS Word keep the information of when a part is written on a file?

Otherwise, give me a suggestion on how to merge them please. They are very very long.

You can take the two similar documents and have Word compare them and merge them into a third document. This third document will be a combination of the two, and will appear as if it had had tracked changes turned on. You can then walk thru the document, accepting or rejecting each difference.

Be sure to select "Merge into new document"
