Any work-around for this challenge
Dear Friends!
Almost all of my doc is footnotes. Is there any way in the world to add a sidebar (just one or two lines of text) to paragraphs in the FN area to things that I want to draw the reader's attention to? It looks text boxes will not go into the FN area, but there must be an ingenious solution to this cosmic challenge. Thank you Susan |

Frames in FN Area
It seems you cannot insert a frame in the Fn area either.
Am I missing something? edit: I see you can add a frame to the text area and then drag to the FN area. But if the text in the FN changes it doesn't flow with the new addition. Any ideas?? |

The frame will be anchored to the paragraph where it was created and likely fixed on the page. You can, of course move it. You could add a second footnote, format it as bold, and have it say: THE FOOTNOTE ABOVE IS IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ. Off-topic: You should not be having crucial material in your footnotes. If you need to be pointing out or emphasizing a footnote, there is a problem. (This is from a rather elderly lawyer who persuades people for a living.) |
