Default Jumping around the doc from footnotes

Hi friends!

I get the feeling that Microsoft Word discriminates a little against footnotes.

I would like in a footnote to add a link to a different place in the document where I will continue the discussion of this footnote.
So I guess I would add a bookmark to where the continuation is and then insert a hyperlink in the first FN which would link to that bookmark. But it is not allowing me to insert hyperlinks in footnotes!

Sure there is a workaround but I don't know what it is.
Thank you in advance
Susan

Default Looks like I had a mistake but.....

I see that you actually can add a hyperlink to the footnote section.
But is there a way I can tell Word to jump to a certain TC field instead of to a bookmark? Would save a lot of time....

Your TC field 'should' be sitting in a Heading paragraph - so add your cross-reference (which is a hyperlink by default) to the Heading.

I am uncertain as to why a TC field should be in a heading. That would certainly make it easier to add a cross-reference, though.

A TC field is to be reflected in the Table of Contents, which then creates a hyperlink to the field. However, it would be very difficult to use this in another hyperlink.

I would add a manual bookmark somewhere near the TC field in the main body of the document and insert a cross-reference, or possbily a hyperlink, that points to the bookmark.
