A Word file has been disappeared.
One of My word documents has suddenly be lost. I cannot find this even in recycle bin but it is shown in “recent box” in word (see the pictures1). When I try to open it, it give me the error: sory we cannot find your file. Was it moved, removed or deleted? (see the pictures2) I have backed up the folder the file is located in Google Drive. But this file is not in Google Drive and its trash section too. Google Drive “Activity section” shows I have not accidentally removed or deleted or renamed this file.
I have searched the internet and utilize all the common recommendation such as searching “recover unsaved document” section, searching AutoSaved document section without any successes. Can you guides me on this issue? |

Recent is a record of files handled in Word. It uses "shortcuts" to actual files. If the file is renamed in Windows, that is not recorded in this. The shortcut is disabled because the original filename is different.

This file was created a day before its disappearance by renaming another file. I have found this file has been unexpectedly renamed to its original name with all my changes intact. Although, I don’t know why this happened, now my problem is solved.
