![]() Hey all, I am having an issue with users saving files to a network drive and showing up as ~WRD.tmp files. The user will create the document on a machine and save it to their network drive, and it will appear to be fine. When they then go to a different machine and log in to the domain and access their network drive, they see the ~WRD.tmp file(s). Also when I browse to the saved location on the server, I see the ~WRD.tmp files. We have determined that it is happening for users on machines running XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Also, they are using Microsoft Office 2003. The server is running Windows Server 2008. We do not have Roaming Profiles. Does anyone have clues as to what is happening and how to fix it? Thanks! |

HI! You must provide more information in order to get help on this especially when it comes to something that can have a voluminous amount of possibilities.
1: Does this happen all the time? 2: can other programs save data in the same locations? 3: What version of Word service pack is installed? 4: Are the workstations have standalone version of word or server side? 5: How many servers per/or domains are there? 6: Did you check all the permissions for each user and user group? 7: Steps you can taken so far..ect...
