How do I get rid of border indicators that popped up and don't go?
Somehow four border indicators appeared on all four Word documents' borders. I sent a document to a friend to see whether they see them, and they said they do not. I don't know what they are called or how did they come to be, however, you can find a picture of them in the attachment. They annoy me terribly; please help!!!

Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the screen.
2. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu. 3. Select "Advanced" from the list of options on the left-hand side. 4. Scroll down to the "Show document content" section. 5. Uncheck the box next to "Show crop marks." 6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Thank you all but I can't find the "Preferences" or the "File" button. I am using a MacBook. I am attaching a screenshot of the interface of my Word documents.

You will not have the File button on the Mac.
Preferences is under Word in the top menu.
