How do I get rid of border indicators that popped up and don't go?
Somehow four border indicators appeared on all four Word documents' borders. I sent a document to a friend to see whether they see them, and they said they do not. I don't know what they are called or how did they come to be, however, you can find a picture of them in the attachment. They annoy me terribly; please help!!!

Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the screen.
2. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu. 3. Select "Advanced" from the list of options on the left-hand side. 4. Scroll down to the "Show document content" section. 5. Uncheck the box next to "Show crop marks." 6. Click "OK" to save your changes. |

Thank you all but I can't find the "Preferences" or the "File" button. I am using a MacBook. I am attaching a screenshot of the interface of my Word documents.

You will not have the File button on the Mac.
Preferences is under Word in the top menu. |
