Copy URL and Title From Browser To Word
I have been trying to find a solution to this for an issue for years.
When I am documenting in MS Word I constantly want to copy the title/URL from a browser window Word. I have attached a file with a screen shot of what I am looking for. Currently I have to copy the title, paste it into word, fix formatting if it is messed up, switch back to the browser and copy the URL, switch back to Word and highlight the text, click link, and add the copied link into the resulting dialog box. There has got to be a smoother, cleaning and faster way. Ideally, my cursor would be in the insertion point in the Word Document and I hit a key, and the computer grabs the Title/URL from the frontmost browser window, and then pastes this into the document. I have the latest MS Word version for the Mac and for Windows 10. Will use whatever browser can help make this work. There has got to be an add-in or something for this, isn't there? Byayn |

The way I do it is to Bookmark the page. Then I copy and paste from my bookmarks menu.
As I save the bookmark, I can modify the title to suit. |

What browser are you using? I am trying to replicate and it is copying just the URL. Is there some setting in Word that must be adjusted?

Install Tab Link Copier - from the Chrome Web Store in your browser.

Another possibility if you have to do this for many sites: using Power Automate Desktop.
Have a look at Leila Gharani's example. I found this useful for pulling info off several web sites and into Excel (not Word as you are doing). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgBZiBIgh3w&t=551s |

What shows up in your Word document will vary depending on the paste options you have set. I have plain text for pastes from other programs and get the URL. I use the paste options to merge formatting and get the title as a hyperlink. |
