Default How can I customize APA style referencing?

In Word 2016, when I add an article with two authors as a citation, Word adds an in-text citation in the format (Kramer & Kim, 2019) but I want to customize it to replace the ampersand with the word "and" (not by replacing & with and manually). How?

I found that there is an .xsl file called APASixthEditionOfficeOnline in the Bibliography directory. Is there any way to replace the ampersand with the word "and" in this file? Or Do you have any other suggestions to customize the APA style by any chance?

Any help will be appreciated.

Find and Replace?
Check on using APA 7th edition. APA 7th edition (Word)

Modifying the bibliography file is the only way AFAIK.

Thanks for the reply. Nope, find and replace is just a temporary solution. I want to edit the Bibliography file APASixthEditionOfficeOnline.xsl but I don't know how. I need help with modifying this file.

Again, unless you are in an environment that want 6th rather than 7th, start with the new file. GitHub - briankavanaugh/APA-7th-Edition: Microsoft Word XSD for generating APA 7th edition references

I have never edited one of these, but notes on how to do it are in this thread on Microsoft's Answers forum. Jayveesac's response on April 6. Redirecting
