How to output single file web page.
Hi all.
I am trying to save a web page I've opened and edited in Word (2010), as a single file web page. This is on a non internet connected PC from a web page downloaded on another system. The issue I'm having is that every time I delete the original files, the images in my edited doc disappear. Word appears only to be storing the links, not the actual files. Are there settings I'm missing, or another way of doing this as a single file. I've tried PDF, but that splits the doc into pages that look messy. Thanks in advance. Mark |

HTML files will never contain images, only links to images.

Thanks..But what is the Single File Web Page option designed to do. A Google search, as below, suggests it can store images in a single file.
From Google: What is single File web page vs web page? The “Single File Web Page” option does save all possible formatting information (just like the “Web Page” option), but instead of saving images into a separate folder, it saves all your supporting images and the page itself as part of the same MHTML file. Quote:
Select "File" tab. Click "Info" in left pane. In the right hand window under "Related Documents" click "Edit Links to Files". In list window shift select all images to be saved. You can now either click "Break Link" button, or check "Save picture in document" before clicking OK. The file can now be saved as a Single File Web Page complete with all images. Sark |
