After installing SP3 for Office 2003, when I try to open Word, it says it encountered a problem, then it asks if I want to start Word in Safe Mode. I cannot say "no"; the only way to get out of it is to say "yes."

I uninstalled Office 2003 and reinstalled it. It worked fine. However, again, when I installed SP3, I got the same error message.

Another issue: After reinstalling Office 2003, I could not create a PDF file. It did nothing when I clicked the link at the top. I uninstalled Office 2003 and reinstalled it, along with SP3, and now the Adobe PDF tab is gone.

What can I do to correct these issues?
