Default Quick Tables disappear when emailed - quick parts / building blocks

Hello
I have someone working for me on producing a report template in word. They have got much of what is required in place but we have hit a problem with the tables.

They have created a number of custom styles for tables which show for them when they go to "Insert > Quick Table" but when they send me the document, even thought the tables in the tables that have already been created look good, when I try to insert a new table I cannot see any of the styles.

We've tried lots of things - anyone any ideas?
Thanks!
S

Quick Tables are Building Blocks and are not a part of the document. They are in a template, not the document. You probably stored them in the Buliding Blocks.dotx file but should be in a separate Global Template if you want to be able to give it to someone else.
Where can Building Blocks be stored?.
(I changed the title of your question to better reflect what you are asking.)

Hi there, thanks for replying so quickly. I'm the person that's been creating the document referred to in the initial post. I have created it in a template format (.dotx) but the building blocks are still not available when my client opens the file at his end.

When you create it, you need to save it in the template! Saving it in Building Blocks.dotx (the default location) keeps it on your computer.

You can move it using the Building Blocks Organizer with your custom template open and the active document. Modify the properties and change the template being used for storage.
