Default Cross ref links not working for me in Office 365 (web Word)

Hi all. Hope someone can help. I write docs for my company using MS Word, with the docs stored in SharePoint. I use a lot of cross references to bookmarks, numbered paragraphs, etc.

My problem is that some of my coworkers don't have their own desktop versions of office and need to rely on the web version. My hyperlinks don't seem to work in the web version though. Not by clicking them or Ctrl-clicking them anyway. I tried googling for an answer to this but didn't find anything helpful.

Anyone know the trick to using cross-ref'd (within same doc) links in web Word?

FYI, links in the TOC and to external sites work just fine with a basic click.
