Dear community,
I'm desperately trying to use hyperlinks in my footnotes as cross references to different parts in the same document. For example, I'll have a footnote that says "For a more detailed description, see chapter X". I want readers to be able to click on "chapter X" and then be redirected to the beginning of that chapter. This works fine, when I place hyperlinks on my regular text. However, when I place hyperlinks on text in footnotes, nothing happens when I click on the links! Does anybody have a solution for this problem?... I use MS Word for Mac, version 16.66.1, under a 365 subscription. My OS is MacOS Monterey Version 12.4 I'd be eternally grateful for any help!
