linked text box with a header
In a video tutorial I saw a text box with a header row (attached image)
Are these four text boxes (with only lower ones linked) or is there a way to split a text box? Thank you all |

It is impossible to tell from the screen shot, but the first text box could contain a table.
Can you share a sample document in Word format?

Looking at the selection handles I would say these are two separate text boxes positioned next to each other inside a drawing canvas.

That was my guess too.
No, I haven't a file, that would have been much easier. I only have that screenshot that triggered my curiosity. |

I missed the part about the screen shot being from a video. Of course, without access to the actual file it will be impossible to tell anything for certain.

No file available, sadly.

By the way, the weirdest part is that you cannot insert a text box inside a canvas, but only normal shapes.
Of course you can add text to a shape but you cannot link two shapes containing text, and this brings back to square one. Unless someone overlayed three text boxes or two text boxes on a shape... |

I can put a text box inside a canvas - what version of Word are you using?
We can't see any text flow in the screen shot you posted. Are you saying that the video shows text being entered into one text box and it is flowing into a second box?

My mistake,
I was trying to add a text box ina canvas in the wrong way. Again you're right, these are for sure two linked text boxes in two different canvas Here's where I saw the linked boxes effect with the header https://youtu.be/GKsNumva2oM?t=1015 |

I just did some investigation and found something for you.
See this screenshot and the tip info. It appears you can use the Create Link button in the Shape Format ribbon tab (which appears when you select a text box). This method is shown in the video link you posted too.
