Default Table of Contents page numbers not aligning properly
I have two Heading 2 items that will not align their page numbers. I've tried deleting the lines and retyping them, checking their formats and fonts, deleting and recreating the table of contents entirely. But I just can't seem to fix the issue.

See TOC Tips and Tricks by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP.


There is a tab setting in your TOC style. Remove the tab setting from the ruler that is catching the page number on the problem entries.
