Word is autocorrecting special characters
Word is automatically substituting spec.ch " with « and ».
I have tried to correct this by entering in File/Option/Proofing/Auto correct options : Replace « and » with ". I have checked in the table if replacement of " with « or » occur, but it doesn't. This only occurs in Word, not in any others MS applications lihe Excell. Not even here when posting new thread. What is the problem? What is the solution?

What are your language settings in Word?
What are your language settings for your keyboard? Try setting the language to EnglishUS or EnglishUK.

Typographical quotation marks will be different depending on the language applied to text. As Charles wrote, verify that you have the correct language formatting. In Word, language is an attribute of text, in much the same way as bold or underline.
