Default Find and Replace with Numbered List

Hello. I have a long document in which everything is in a numbered list with varying degrees of indentation and therefore levels. I want to use Find and Replace to change all instances of one line to a few lines that include hyperlinks.

For example, the original is:

1. Watch this video or read the summary:
a. Choose a Video
i. Click on:

And I want to replace the third row (i. Click on) with:
i. Click on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZSlu4DWJ5k
1. If this is too hard, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j92Py8J3qg
2. If this is too easy, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pZS30jM-2E

In the end, it would look like this:
1. Watch this video or read the summary:
a. Choose a Video

I can do this manually, but it is quite tedious when I need to make the same change many times, so find and replace would be perfect, but I don't see a way to have the replacement remain numbered. I can only get them to be separate lines but not with the numbering, and the link is no longer hyperlinked.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Writing vba code to do this would be far more tedious, IMO, than doing what you want manually.
  1. Correct your first instance to be what you want.
  2. Copy that onto your clipboard.
  3. Use Find to find the next instance.
  4. Paste.
  5. Repeat

Not into watching videos. All you need do is attach two documents to a post:
1. A representative sample document showing what you're starting with; and
2. The same document with what the desired end result is.
Actual documents, not just screenshots or videos are needed so we can see exactly what indents, etc. you're working with.

Hi Paul,

The videos are not something for us to watch. They are examples of the listed items he wants to have show up using Replace. i.e., FinishStrong wants to replace the line with 'Click on" with the three lines containing the hyperlinks to videos. I think doing this manually with Find is the simplest method.
