Question Table of content can't change size of the space after the number of the chapter

Hey !

I have to hand in my thesis soon so it's quite urgent.

Basically in the table of content automatically generated by my documents (which if formated afterward to suit my needs) I can't find how so reduce the size of the space between the number of the chapter and the name of the chapter. And for every level of the table of content.
I surrounded in red the space I'm talking about in a linked screenshot

I tried to dig in the formating for the table of content but I am defeated.

Plz send help

You can change the Tab settings in the TOC 1 and TOC 2 styles.
Try putting your insertion point in the problem entry in the TOC. Move the relevant tab setting in the Ruler.

Generally speaking, just moving the tab-stop position for a given TOC entry via the Ruler is sufficient to cause all TOC entries at the corresponding heading level to update.

My experience has been that these are independent by level.

If you set up your TOC styles to cascade, then a change in one level can cascade to lower levels.
