Irremovable headings in a column.
I wrote a series of 40 short papers on one subject and wanted to place the headings of those papers on one page.
Somehow or other I finished up with a heading running along the top of the column of icons stating, “A long time ago (31)” then 31 icons in a column. Underneath that was the heading, “Yesterday (9) and nine icons. I would like to remove those headings to create one column but am unable to. |

Sorry, but it's nearly impossible to figure out what you're describing without seeing it. Can you upload the file?
Are you trying to combine all the documents into one file? Or just provide a separate summary listing? It is just a simple list, or more like a directory or table of contents that will open the various separate documents? |

I don't know how to upload a file but I took a snip and hope that shows what is needed.
The snip is on my desktop. However, I don't know how to load it. |

I found the buttons and attempted to cut and paste a picture of a snip I took of the table but it didn't run. I think that the only way I can send it is by email.

How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum. You can upload a file or an image, or both.

Balliol, everything is complicated when you're learning.
If you'd like to upload your document: 1. Open a reply by hitting the blue Post Reply button or by scrolling down to the bottom of this page and a quick reply window will already appear. If you push the button, you'll default to Quick Reply mode. 2. Change the mode by pressing the Go Advanced button which should appear below your reply window. This will open up a set of options below the box that will include "Manage Attachments." 3. Click on the "Manage Attachments" button. A small window should pop up. Click on the first "Choose File" button and navigate to where you have your document, or image, saved. Maybe your desktop or your My Documents folder. Once attached, press Upload. if you're attaching more than one thing, you can pre-connect them and then Upload all at once. After that's completed, you simply close that little window. 4. Now press on the "Preview Post" button below your window, and if you uploaded an image you can now see it - as I can see the rather crudely marked-up snippy I made of this setup. (I can't write with my mouse well, as I'm left-handed but right-moused. So it looks like a three-year-old did it.) If you're happy with your post, then Submit Reply and it's published. |
