Help making legal line number stay at 25 lines a page when I have sections with single spaced text
If this question has been posted before, my apologies. I did search the forum but didn't find anything that is exactly what I need to find out.
I'm a legal transcriber and usually use templates from my various employers and complete them. The problem now is, that there are sections of a document where they want quotes to be indented and single-spaced. When I do this, of course, my 25 lines on the side of the page also change spacing.
I am not a newbie to Word and have been using it for years but I just can't figure this one out. My line spacing is set to "exactly" 25.2 for my paragraphs resulting in 25 lines per page. My line numbers are set at "restart each page". I just can't change the line spacing in my document text without the line numbers moving.
I saw something somewhere (can't find it now) that you insert the line numbers in the header box or a text box or something? I also need to use page numbers though and those are already in a header on the top right of the page so don't know if that will conflict, and I can't figure out how to do this.
Any help will be so greatly appreciated! Thank you, all.
