How to recover a file saved without changes?
I just got confused by word's carryon and apparently saved a file without changes that I should have saved with changes. Is there any way to find them again... couple of hours work? |

No. There is not.
If you had it on OneDrive with AutoSave on, you could, but you would likely not have gotten the message when you closed Word. |

Thanks for that. Puts me on the right road finally. I've had a very wrong idea. Now I know. I shun Onedrive. So in future I'll just consider it's all up to me just as it was in the old days.
And I'll get in the habit of frequent saves. If there's any third party or Word tweaks I can use please let me know. But I"m happy to take the responsibility to do that keystroke frequently: Ctrl-S. Last edited by abrogard; 06-10-2022 at 01:40 AM. |

Thank you, Charles. Good of you. I've downloaded and will investigate and use.
