Turn OFF hyphenation
Word for Mac 16.61 on MacOS Monterey 12.4
Is there a way to turn OFF automatic hyphenation ... preferably permanently? One of the threads here suggested "Layout|Page Setup>Hyphenation>Hyphenation Options" but on my version of Word for Mac, Layout does not include "Page Setup," and none of the choices there (Margins, Orientations, Size, Columns, Breaks ...) mention "Hyphenation". There must be a way, and maybe I am just missing it. Thank you. |

You should see 'Tell me what you want to do' at the top. See photo. Click on these words and type "Hyphenation" (omitting the quote marks) you should then see the option to turn hyphenation off.

No problem. Those words 'Tell me what you want to do' are very useful for all sorts of queries.
