Hiding Letterhead when printing
Dear all,
we would like to setup the following: Printer Tray 1: Company Letterhead Paper Side 1 Printer Tray 2: Company Letterhead Paper Side 2 (footer only) The Word documents we have are with Header and footer. We need to keep the format for Mailing and filing. But when printing the driver/printer needs to recognize that it should not print the header and footer because we have the company letterhead paper in the 2 trays in the printer aready. Any idea how to set this up? The printer is a Canon advance IR 5860 |

See Setting Up Letter Templates - Ribbon by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP. See "Creating a header for preprinted letterhead"
You will need to tell your printer which tray to use. That should be in the print dialog. |

Thank you,
the main question is how to setup the document? DO we have to use the Makro option? Thank You |

You do not need macros to set up your template. You would need a macro to blank the header/footer when printing unless the header/footer is graphic in nature and you tell Word to not print graphics.
Otherwise, set up your template as described in Suzanne's page with space in the header/footer for your preprinted material. |

NondasK, I'm not connected with this site (at the link below), but I found some code and tried it out with a JPG image in the header and footer, and it did give me a clean print.
How to print word document without header and footer? Might be worth a try. - Ann |
