Default Spacing between items of a list but not the lines themselves of the same number

For nursing school we often have objectives to answer that are posted and I typically copy-paste from the webpage into word to print and complete them. I list them out via numbered bullets, say 1-20 with a paragraph between each bullet. I would like to add space between each bullet point (to allow me to print and write on them) but leave minimal space between lines of text of the same number. Tried the “paragraph> spacing> line spacing(at [say 6])> (unclick) ‘Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style’”. But then I just get nothing or I get 6pt space between every single line. What am I doing wrong? There has to be an easier way than clicking after each line and hitting enter a bunch of times. Hopefully I described it well enough.
