Default Remove text in start up document

I have just installed Microsoft Word 2010 on my new computer which runs Windows 7. When I started I typed in some text which now comes up everytime I start Word. How can I get rid of this?

Default

  1. With Word running, but no documents open, click Open
  2. In the Open dialog box, scroll all the way to the top
  3. In the left pane, click Microsoft Word
  4. In the right pane, double-click Templates
  5. In the right pane, double-click Normal.dotm to open it
  6. Remove the text
  7. Save and close.
