Create a htm document
Hello!
Please bear with me, im not proficient with word but I hope I can explain it so that you understand what my problem is. We have a local htm page at work that was made with word. The original creator is not with us so Im left blind. The page is just a simple header, a left menu and a content page. The page has a ”master” document (index.htm) and from there the rest of the pages are in subfolders. When I open a ”master” htm document I can see two separate pages in one. See image: https://ibb.co/gtn3fSd The left one is one htm document, and the right one another. My question is: how can I achieve a similar setup? That is, how can I set up two pages that I can link to htm documents? Also, how can I set it up so that I have the header stay put when I click around on subpages? Thank you for your time! Chris |

I recommend you have a rethink about what you want to achieve. Unfortunately, Microsoft Word is close to the most awful html editor ever devised. It 'can' save a document in html format but that content is prodigiously complex and poorly handled by the multitude of web-browsers that might be used to display it.
Web design has moved a long way since the days of frames and subpages. Nowdays page layouts need to work on a huge range of browsers and devices (like mobile phones, ipads, chromebooks, laptops, smart TVs etc). You can find great resources online to help you learn how to code web pages from scratch. For instance this video EASY! Hand-code an HTML + CSS layout - YouTube shows the basic structure. This video shows how to fix the header position to stop it from scrolling off the screen. How to make a Fixed Navigation Bar using HTML CSS | Collapsing Header Tutorial - YouTube
