FYI
Some time back I downloaded an update to handle docx.
SaveAs shows various formats up to and including Word 2007 docx.
Not sure how compatible this is for newer versions.

PROBLEM WITH ALIGNMENT

1) With the doc file you provided still can't get text to line up with numbers.
2) In viewing several UTube videos on aligning text to pleading paper no's, they say to set LINE SPACING to an Exact Point Size of 12pts (single) and 24 pts (for double). This is handled in Paragraph Formatting.
3) The Court requires a text FONT of a minimum 13 (I'm using New TImes Roman, one of the choices, with 14 Size).
4) Because the User may choose a Font size => 13, the text in the text line will vary based on Font Height (e.g. my 14 is > the minimum).
5) The pleading numbers are pre-set using some UNKNOWN (will need to be determined by checking textbox) Font, Font Height, and Line Spacing values.
6) So if the pleading number pre-set values are NOT the SAME as those chosen by the User to meet the Court Specified requirements, a disconnect will occur, and alignment will be OFF.
So it appears the two need to be congruent in order for things to line up.
7) I was able to identify that the pre-set numbers are in a text box and they appear locked (based on the lock anchor at top of textbox). Haven't found how to unlock it yet.
8) So it appears I need to adjust and set the textbox pleading numbers to my Font Size and Line Spacing to get things to align.
9) After alignment (entering so test text and using CR, then I imagine I can change the pleading (textbox) nos as far as Font and Size and see if the alignment remains.

OR

Am I off in the weeds somewhere?
