Word 2019 - Resized Shapes When Reopening Document
Hi all,
So I keep my resume and job applications saved in a Word Document and convert it to PDF before submitting. I just re-opened some old job applications in .docx format from a few months ago ('Date modified' is still August on the file) and all of them look a total mess upon re-opening. It seems that many of the shape boxes that I had inserted originally have resized to less than half of their original size, so now all of the text is crushed up since I last used the files in August. Attached is a picture to show what I mean (private info greyed out). I have many, many shapes to get the resume layout looking nice, so this will be extremely tedious to manually correct. The files are being opened on the exact same computer as they were created on and in which they were previously looking fine. I have not changed OS or Word version in that time (unless there was a Word update in the background). Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong and how I can fix it? I can see no reason why the shape sizes should magically resize when the files have not been touched. Thank you. |
