Default How to set automatic paragraph numbering " §1"

Hello
Coud somebody help me how to set MS Word to make automatic paragraph numbering ?
example:
§1
text

§2
text

§3
text

I dont want to have to change all numbering manually when I for example add or delete one paragraph on the beginning of document. The symbol of paragraph have to be befor the number.

Best Regards

I believe this has been posted elsewhere. (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...d-1bc72d1472ca)

You would use the Define New MultiLevel List dialog. I suggest reading How to create a table of contents in Microsoft Word by Shauna Kelly.
You would place the § Section symbol before the displayed number in that dialog.

Hello
I know this method from your link pretty well, it is not whot I write about. I need have symbol § befor each number, numbering is on the same level. I dont need numbering multiple level numbering like 1.1 1.2 etc.
I write this question on forum becouse after 1 hour I dont find solution.
Best Regards

And...
I am telling you how to do what you want. This is the best way to set up numbering and the Define New MultiLevel List dialog gives you options not otherwise available.

I agree with Charles. To show you, here is a start of a multi-level list customized text where I placed in your symbol, plus a few more. You could choose to use 1.1, 1.2 type numbering, but you could also place words, spaces, symbols and more in that field.
