referencing paragraph number
I have a document where each paragraph is numbered (using the numbering function).
I want to reference a previous paragraph number in a later paragraph so that if the reference paragraph number changes (maybe by adding in another paragraph in between) the number in my later paragraph also changes. Is that possible?? Thanks in advance |

Insert > Cross Reference will show you a dialog to allow you to insert a field to do this.

To add to what Andrew/Guessed has said, you can update all cross-references in a document by switching to print preview (File > Print) and then exit the preview with ESC.
