Information on Word form fields
I have a form, it is a contract, that has a combobox with a whole lot of names in it. And I have several areas throughout the contract where the same name is used. I would like to select the name once using the combobox and have the selected name fill in the text boxes elsewhere in the document. Is there a way to do this?
Thank you, Rob |

In Word a ComboBox is not a field. It is either a Content Control (best) or a legacy ActiveX control. Which are you using.
Note ActiveX controls are deprecated features that only work in Windows versions of Word. |

This is meaningless.
If it is a legacy ActiveX combobox I urge you to switch to a Content Control unless your document needs to be used on Word 2003 or earlier. Please attach a sample document (not a screenshot). How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum. |

You have Content Controls, legacy Form Fields, and legacy ActiveX controls in your document. These are not compatible.
I strongly urge you to change to only Content Controls. As is, your form is unworkable. For using Content Controls, see: |

I will read those to understand Content Controls. Thank you so much!
