Changing orientation but margin doesn't change
I was able to have both portrait and landscape in one document. The attachment jpeg is what the landscape page looks like with the ruler at the top. The far right margin is on the ruler, but I can only add two more characters where the ===== is and it drops to the next line. How do I make it so I can go all the way to the right margin? Could you attach a sample document with the problem? (Same method you used to attach the screenshot)

I'll have to make a sample. The document I am working on is for work and it has sensitive stuff in it. I will do so and post.

I would say that there are two possible reasons for this.
1. You have your Autocorrect options turning these characters into a paragraph border 2. There is a white floating shape on the page that is causing the text to wrap. If you post a simple document that demonstrates the problem then it will be easy to eliminate option #2

I was attempting to do a sample document to post here. I brought up the document then changed the view to Outline. I now can format it like I want. However, when I return to Print view, it messes up. I have another document, I did a few years ago, that is formatted exactly like I want. I seem to remember, some time ago, I was able to see the mark up that formats the document. I want to compare the two documents to see where they are different. Thank you all for the responses so far.

Again, a sample document (or two) would help us help you.
As for the markup, see Nonprinting Formatting Marks by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP. That it seems to work in draft view makes me suspect a shape or textbox interfering. |
