Default Fitting word document to page

I copied a document on a web site to a word document. The document on the site has tables with rows and columns that were truncated from the word document I created. How do I make all of what is on the web site fit into a word document? Just decreasing font size did not affect what was in the table.

Post a sample document so we can see what you are talking about.

It is possible the paragraph attributes of the text in the table have the paragraphs wrapping past the edge of the table border. If this is the case, selecting the text and pressing Ctrl-Space and Ctrl-Q will reset the attributes and most likely fix the issue (unless your style definitions are also odd)

Is it a table or a picture?

Pictures can be scaled smaller by dragging the anchors in the corner.

Table widths are adjustable in the Table Properties dialog.

Wow, I right clicked on table and decreased the "size and position" and that made it work. Who knew? Thanks.

If "Size and Position" worked then it is a "Picture" of the table that you copied into the Word document and not the table itself. As Guessed said, you could have used the corner anchors as well. If you click once on the picture you will see these anchors as small boxes which you can grab and then drag to make the picture any size that you want. This allows finer control of the picture size.
