series of dots I didn't enter in document and cannot remove!
I have a document that I created a long time ago in Word 2003. I opened it in my Word 2016. There's a long dotted line across the bottom of the page that I can't get rid of. It shows in every view but I can't select it or remove it. If I select everything above it, when I put that info into a new document, the dotted lines come with it, even though I couldn't select them .
How do I get rid of this?? |

Have you clicked on the Show/Hide button to help identify what the dotted line is? If so then post a picture so others can see it.

Is this line on every page or just one. If it is on every page then it is probably part of the header or footer so that is where you need to edit it.
Again, this is a lot easier to diagnose if you attach a small sample document.
