Is there any simpler word processor?
I've been in deep trouble to solve some absolutely basic thing in word, again. Concrete problem doesn't matter here, it's just that Word is so over-complicated, that I decided - I don't want to use it anymore.
I've read on one forum, that "using word processor for simple tasks is like driving freight car to buy grocery" and I agree with it, but then - I thought, what else can I do? There is no alternatives - known to me, that could import .docx files while being simpler to use, and problem is - I have to be able to import docx and other similar types, because other people (unfortunately) use this complicated beasts. I do not want to spend time learning how to use tool, that I only sporadically use, because someone gave me file in this format, or expects me to deliver file in this format. |

Try WordPad. It's already built into Windows so free to use. Much simpler so does not support all features of Word. There will be incompatibility issues when using documents created in Word but this is the trade-off if you want simplicity. You'll see a warning at top about this. See: -

No need to find download since it's included with Windows 7.
