Default Non consecutive numbering in table of figures

Hello,

Im making my thesis on Word and have two automatic tables of figures both with different content, one of tables and one of figures both with their own custom style- Both have an added numbering.

The problems is that while my first table of figures ends at 19 in this numbering the second one starts at 20 instead of 1. Any idea how to solved it?

Appreciate any help

Are you saying the captions for both tables and figures are using the same sequence field names or that you have included automatic paragraph numbers to the TOC styles?

Perhaps you should post a short sample document to show what the problem is.

This is an AutoCorrect action. Is this what you are trying to achieve? Here are two photos. Before and After "Restart Numbering" applied: -

Please post a sample document, not a picture.
This numbering is done using SEQ fields. Those are set when you Insert a Caption. To have different lists, you need to use different labels on your Captions. The Table of Figures picks up this numbering, it does not create it.
