Default Word 2019: hide personal information

Hi there,

I have two questions:

1. I am using Word 2019. As shown in Fig. 1, my email address is shown at the top part of the window. My first question is how to hide that information, so when I share my screen with others, they do not see the email address?

2. When I enable track changes, as shown in Fig. 2, my email address is shown. I want to change that to a custom name. How to assign a custom name for this field?

Thank you very much.

No figures are showing on my device. Try attaching again? You can see the 'Attach paperclip' in the 'Go Advanced' window.

You have to redact screenshots, as you have here.

You can use the Inspect Document tool at File > Info to remove private information, but that does REMOVE it, not just hide it.

P.S. Your profile is showing 2010 rather than 2019. You should change that to get the best answers in the future.

Thank you. This solves issue number 2. Although, I would like to assign a custom name to the comment field. However, your response is still very helpful for me.

For my 1st issue, do you have any suggestions?

BTW and WRT to your PS, I updated my profile after posting that message. However, it does not update my info for the post which I sent before update.

Issue one can only be solved by logging out of 365.

The ‘email address as shown on the Title Bar' when you are logged in, is easily changed by a Registry edit.
Click the image below to see a short video of how I have changed the showing name (previously changed) to another new name.

The ‘path’ I have used is
Code:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities
Copy the above and paste it into the Registry Editor Address Bar and press the Enter key.
Click the key below Identities key. It will have letters and numbers in the name.
Look for the FriendlyName entry in the right pane.
D/clicking the entry shows the current name and simply changing that name to one of your choice is done in the ‘Edit String’ dialog box.
It is wise to r/click a key and opt to Export before any changes are made so the original key can be Imported back should there be an unlikely issue. I have shown how in the video.

This is by design and how the forum works.

Thank you. I can not see the image and the video you mentioned.
