Default Show Hide text using Radio buttons

Hi all,

I am trying to create a form in Microsoft word for people requesting access/content to be uploaded to a learning management system.

I have created radio buttons to select, but I want to follow a certain line of questioning dependent on the radio button selection.

For example, here are the difficulty selections with radio buttons:
- Everybody
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Expert

If the radio button for 'Everybody' is selected I want to have the first group of questions selected.
If the radio button for 'Beginner' is selected I want to have the second group of questions selected, and so on.

Almost like in excel where it hides and unhides rows/columns based on the value of a cell.

Is anyone able to help with this?

Thanks in advance.

Who are the 'people' who will be using this form?

You cannot force people to run macros, essential to achieve your aim, and such macros in a macro enabled document will cause all kinds of security issues.

As a general principle it is not ideal to hide parts of a document, as it is so easy to display the hidden parts. It is far better to only insert those parts of a document that are required. This creates the problem of where to store those parts, which brings us back to my first question which will help determine where to store those parts.

Any solution will require the users to enable macros but should degrade gracefully if they don't (ie shows all sections).

However, I wouldn't recommend using Radio Buttons as they are legacy controls with security issues associated with their use. It would be better to make the level selection via a Dropdown Content Control and have a macro run based on the value of that CC.

Have a look at this thread where pretty much the same question was asked https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...ontrol-if.html
