Word templates - opening duplicates phantom pages
Hi Guys,
At my work we have approx 800 manual letter templates in Word. We store them in SharePoint, for all teams to access. In the last week, we've noticed that when we're opening some of the letters that they're showing the pages twice. So, if the template is 2 pages long, it shows each page twice in the following sequence: Pg 1 Pg 2 Pg 1 Pg 2 The affected templates then won't let you edit the content to enter the bespoke part of the content if it's a case-by-case basis letter. We've found that, if we hit the 'Show/Hide paragraph markings' button that the duplication goes back to normal and editing is possible; but, does anyone know if there's a cause or, more importantly, how we can fix this so the issue doesn't occur? I'm suspecting it's a bug which has been introduced in a system update, but didn't know if maybe it's common and there's an easy resolution. |

This isn't something I have seen but Sharepoint can be somewhat vexing.
Are people viewing these files in the browser view or opening them in Word directly? Does it occur if the user is already showing paragraph marking before opening the document?
