Bullets only on 1st line
not sure why but i only get a bullet on the first line, (i am not creating it from scratch, i am editing a document) so i highlight the 5 lines then select Bullet, but only 1st line gets the bullet.... why?
i thought it had a simple requirement that each bullet had to be on seperate line (i see the newline or return character at each line) but apparently there is more to it.... can anyone explain ? what do i need to do to get each line as a bullet (without retyping each line or move to previous line and pressing enter) |

Newline is different to return character. You will only see the bullet appear on the first line of a paragraph (marked by the return character).
If you have newline (Shift-Enter) symbols then you need to replace them with a return (Enter) in order to make a new paragraph the bullet can attach to.

You can use Replace to do this:
Replace ^l with ^p Then apply your bullets. For a way to apply bullets that won't get scrambled with editing, see How to control bullets in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly |
