Default Unwanted text auto-inserted

I was typing a letter to my daughter. I typed her name as :
Quote:
Sarah Knapp
but when I hit the carriage return, the line automatically changed to:
Quote:
Sarah "Knapp" <<<<< Heh, you typed my last name ^_^
this happens now every time i type a line ending with "Knapp" (but not if I type "knapp" with a lower-case k)

I'm wondering if my12-year-old grandson may have put in some kind of macro as a prank. I've looked under Insert>Auto-Text and under Tools>Macro<Macros, but don't see anything unexpected. Any idea what may be causing this?

(I'm using Word 2002)

Default Auto correct?

Try looking under Sarah Knapp in Auto Correct.

That's it! Thanks!

There are a number of other undesirable auto-corrections in there (including some using language quite inappropriate for a 12-year-old). Could they have been put there by a virus?

Default Revenge is sweet

Very much doubt it. I'd guess it was your 12 year old. If I were you, I'd put an auto correct entry like "I'm on to you, buster" for a word he is likely to type, or alternatively, give him a separate account on your machine and password protect your own, so his forays into auto correction affect only himself.

lol! Now there's an idea!

I never thought I'd need to worry about securing my computer in my own home, but I suppose the time has come.

Thanks again for the help
