Default Update all instances of text automatically.

First post so aplogies in advance if I have done it wrong.

I'm sure I have seen this done but can't figure it out.
I have a document which has a "Company Name" on the front cover and when that text is updated I want all instances of "Company Name" in the document to update.
I will be giving the document to others so need a foolproof way, preferably automatic.

(find and replace is out as not all users will be savvy enough) .

Thanks in advance for any help.

Insert a mapped rich text content control (seehttps://www.gmayor.com/insert_content_control_addin.htm) then copy and paste that control wherever you require it. What is entered in one will be repeated in the others.

I agree with Graham and regularly make use of his Add-In.

You could simply use the "Company" Document Property Content Control that comes installed in Word under Insert > Quick Parts > Document Property or repurpose one of the others. These are built-in mapped document properties.

Repeating Data Using Document Property Content Controls and Other Mapped Content Controls

A custom mapped content control will also work fine.

To me, this is the simplest and most automatic method of repeating data. There are others, though, as well: Repeating Data (Populating Multiple Like Fields) by Greg Maxey
