Using certain values in custom number format for vertical chart axis?
Hi All,
Please look at this chart img_84.png I want to remove the percentage symbol (%) from vertical axis, after googling for a time, many people recommended using these custom number formats: ###0, [=100]0″%”;0_%, [>=100] ###0;, [=100]0;0_ I tried all, but not to produce my desired need. if this is impossible, then how to make certain values appear on this axis (for example: 0-100) You can download the attachment file (Doc2) to apply on it With special thank |

I can't see a way to change it via formatting.
If it was me, I would convert the underlying data numbers to totaling 100 based on their shares and plot it as a regular stacked bar chart.

Thanks Mr. Guessed for your response
Of course, there are Stacked columns and a 100% Stacked column Stacked columns display actual values, which I worked on 50 samples. on the other hand, my supervisor wants a 100% Stacked column to display data in percentage and also removing the percentage symbol from the vertical axis. Mr. Guessed my current solution is using a text box filled with values (0 - 100), but it's not a professional way. |

This is how I did it - by using a Stacked Column chart instead of a 100% Stacked Column chart. You need to convert your actual numbers to proportional values totalling 100.

Excuse me Mr. Guessed, how to convert actual numbers to proportional values totaling 100? I was already converted my data to totaling of 100 by using multiply function (ex: 0.5*100 =50) look at this: img_86.png |

That works when the total of the numbers was 50. I assume you used some kind of formula to arrive at the E:F columns and then it is as easy as multiplying them by 100.
When the sum of the numbers varies you would use a formula like the following in I2 =100*B2/Sum($B2:$D2) You can then copy that formula across and down to build the table.
