As I type two or three ghost words appear above what I’m typing which disappear if I attempt to copy or use Snip to capture them and they confuse me. Can someone please tell me how to dump that facility.

Get someone else to use a separate camera while you are typing to capture what you are talking about and post a picture. It will help us to understand what you mean.

I took a photograph using my Smart Phone but have no idea how to load it here.

Email yourself with the photo as an attachedment. Access your email on your computer and 'drag' or 'save' the picture attachment onto your computer desktop.

With the photo now on your computer you can use the 'Go Advanced' option to get access to the paperclip 'Attachments' icon shown on my photo. This will give you the option to browse, find and select your photo for attachment. There is a maximum photo size of 500KB that you can upload for attachment so if your photo is too large then you will need to reduce its digital size. If you don't know how to do that then you need to learn how before you can post it here.

From your description I don't think I will be able to help you fix it but at least you will have done your best to help others help you.

You could be seeing the text suggestions provided by the operating system; see Enable text suggestions for inclusive classrooms. (Ignore the part about "inclusive classrooms" because this isn't just a school/education facility.)

Many thanks for your reply. As is usual with me I played around with Thunderbird for a while and then came across, Revert to factory setting which I did and lost the Predictive settings so great.
